Our Impact
We are creating a new
politics rooted in service
Division, lack of trust, and hyper-partisanship... these are the political challenges of our time.
A single leader won’t solve them, but a new generation of Servant Leaders will.
We built New Politics to find these leaders, support them, and help them win. And it’s working.

Case Studies
of New Politics Candidates
Abigail Spanberger
Abigail Spanberger
Central Intelligence Agency
- In 2018, she became the first Democrat since 1968 — as well as the first woman ever — to be elected to represent Virginia's 7th Congressional District in the U.S.
- Abigail has led bipartisan efforts that have been signed into law to prevent fentanyl overdoses, protect Virginia's natural resources, and support our Veterans.
- Currently running for Governor of Virginia
Rodney Hall
Rodney Hall
U.S. Army
U.S. National Guard
- In 2023, we guided 30-point underdog candidate Rodney Hall to victory.
- Rodney made history by becoming the first Black Republican elected in Mississippi at the state or federal level since the Reconstruction Era.
- Rodney’s first move after taking office? To work with Republican members to revive Mississippi’s ballot initiative process, a core component of democracy reform.
James Talarico
James Talarico
AmeriCorps Teach For America
- During a crucial time in Texas, when a voter suppression bill was up for a vote, he organized his Democratic colleagues in a walkout of the legislature in 2023, which prevented SB-7 from passing.
- In 2023, James was named one of Texas’ most effective lawmakers (and he’s only 35!)
- As a Teach for America alum and ordained minister, James is exactly the kind of Servant Leader our country needs.
