Matt Collier
Matt Collier's story is deeply rooted in Mid-Michigan's industrial and union history. Grandson of UAW members who worked in Flint's auto plants, Matt learned the value of hard work and service from his parents. Choosing West Point over Princeton, he became an Airborne-Ranger, serving six years and attaining the rank of Captain. After serving as Congressman Dale Kildee's district director, Matt was elected mayor of Flint, where he significantly reduced unemployment and crime. His career spans public service and private sector leadership, including roles as a presidential appointee to the Department of Veterans Affairs and founder of a company addressing veterans' healthcare needs. Now running for Congress in Michigan's 8th District, Matt brings a unique blend of military, political, and business experience to his campaign.
