SEVEN SIEGEL

Candidate for Maine State House District 109
Service:
AmeriCorps

Seven Siegel (they/them) lives in a century-old farmhouse on Main Street in Gorham with their wife Becky and their new daughter, Vaiva. Seven currently serves on the Gorham Town Council where they are very grateful to be able to work for their community. Their service in AmeriCorps taught them how important it is to give back on the local level. Seven firmly believes that local voices and a local perspective are what is needed to solve our state-wide problems.

Seven Siegel is running for State Representative in Maine’s 109th House District. They would be the first elected official at the state level in Maine to use they/them pronouns, and one of the first nonbinary elected officials in the state. Seven describes themselves as “local and vocal.”

They are a founding member of Gorham Pride, previously held a position on Gorham’s Planning Board, and volunteer at Long Creek Youth Development Center. Seven holds both a Master of Public Policy and MBA from Brandeis University. In 2019, Seven was named a Forbes 30 Under 30.

In their spare time, Seven enjoys running, board games, and breakdancing. They hope to one day turn their barn into a community center.
